As part of an international alliance, the Diesel Systems division develops, applies and manufactures diesel systems which contribute to making vehicles cleaner and more economical. At the same time, our systems serve as the basis for making the diesel engine a more sporting and enjoyable power plant. As the world's leading manufacturer of diesel injection systems, we have the perfect system for every customer and every application available.

Our Chassis Systems Control division develops innovative components, systems, and functions in the field of vehicle safety, vehicle dynamics, and driver assistance. Active safety systems recognize hazardous driving situations and guide the vehicle dynamics in a targeted manner to restore the stability of the vehicle. If an accident is unavoidable, passive safety systems provide protection for vehicle occupants as well as pedestrians and reduce the risk of injury. Driver assistance systems offer drivers not only comfort but increasingly support in safety-critical situations.

Our competence lies in the networking of active and passive safety systems with driver assistance systems, and thereby we realize new dimensions in safety, comfort, and agility.

As part of the Automotive Technology business sector, the Electrical Drives division develops and manufactures mechatronic components and systems for body applications. With innovative actuators, components and systems for engine thermal management, air conditioning, and windshield cleaning, we offer new solutions for convenience functions as well as for the basic equipment of vehicles.

Focusing on customer benefit, quality, and competitive prices, we are market leaders in many of our business segments. The division includes the business units Actuation Systems, Thermo Systems, Wiper Systems, and a product group for new business fields. The division’s headquarters are Buehlertal in Germany.

Our extensive range of starter motors comprises long-life starter motors for spark-ignition and diesel engines as well as product concepts for fuel-saving and thus CO2-reducing start/stop systems. In addition, we develop and manufacture electrical motors for hybrid vehicles.
